Gift Aid & Forms

What Is Gift Aid ?

Gift Aid gives the TCF Church an extra 25p for every £1 you donate.

Gift Aid is an income tax relief designed to benefit charities - and TCF is a Registered Charity - No. 297569

If you’re a UK taxpayer, Gift Aid increases the value of your charity donations by 25% because the charity can reclaim the basic rate of tax on your gift at no extra cost to you.

However for a charity to be able to claim Gift Aid on your donation you must first have paid UK Income or Capital Gains Tax that financial year. The tax you pay must be equivalent to the amount of Gift Aid the charity will reclaim on your donation that tax year,

How can TCF claim by Gift Aid on my offerings or donation ?

The process is really simple; all you need to do is fill out a Gift Aid Declaration form - simply click on this icon :

Then return this signed to the TCF admin Office in Corringham. This Declaration Form is a statement from you to the charity confirming that you want to donate through Gift Aid and for TCF to receive tax back on your donation. You only need to complete this form once.

Does the Gift Aid element automatically follow and added to the original purpose of the offering or donation.?

When Gift Aid is able to be claimed back on any donation given to TCF, the default position is that this additional amount will go into the general TCF funds and used to fulfill the purposes and aims of the work across the whole of the TCF Church.

However where funds raised by TCF for another UK Charity that pass through our accounts then the gift aid element will be left to that Charity to claim.
