Prayer Room Now Open

Following the recent announcement the government with regards to easing some of the COVID 19 restrictions, we are delighted to be able to open our Prayer Room at TCF again. This will be with immediate effect.

We have scrutinised all the detail that the government have provided and are confident that we have a safe environment that can be used once more. There are however one or two essential aspects that we need to adhere to which are as follows:-

  1. In order to maintain social distancing – only members of one immediate household can use the room at any one time.
  2. Prior to use – Ceri Norton – our TCF Facilities Manager must be contacted beforehand by text to let her know when you intend to visit the room. Her number is 07875 207373. She will respond to let you know whether it can be used at you preferred time and be able to access with any access query.
  3. Hand gel, sanitiser wipes, etc will be available to use and will be placed immediately outside the prayer Room. All person entering the Prayer Room must use the hand gel before the enter the room and after immediate after they leave. Ceri will be responsible for making sure that the room is regularly cleaned as part of the robust cleaning programme we already have in place in response to COVID 19.
  4. Under no circumstance is any food or drink allowed in the Prayer Room.
  5. No singing is allowed. You are allowed to take your Bible in with you or a mobile phone with a Bible loaded on it – but this must be taken out with you when you leave the room.
  6. Face covering are not obligatory but will be available if people would prefer to use them.
  7. Anyone with any of the COVID 19 symptoms is not allowed to attend the prayer Room under any circumstance. We also discourage people in the following categories not to attend the prayer room :-

Certain groups of people are at increased risk of severe disease from COVID-19, including people who are:

  • aged 70 or older (regardless of medical conditions)
  • under 70 with an underlying health condition listed below (that is, anyone instructed to get a flu jab each year on medical grounds):
  • chronic (long-term) mild to moderate respiratory diseases, such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), emphysema or bronchitis
  • chronic heart disease, such as heart failure
  • chronic kidney disease
  • chronic liver disease, such as hepatitis

  • diabetes
  • a weakened immune system as the result of certain conditions, treatments like chemotherapy, or medicines such as steroid tablets
  • being seriously overweight (a body mass index (BMI) of 40 or above)

  1. In order to assist further with access to the Room – we will be place a sign outside which indicates whether the Prayer is currently in use.

Hope this all helps – I appreciate that this is all very formal and wordy etc – but at the same time we have a responsibility to follow the guidelines given.

Take care and please free  to use this excellent facility to pray for God’s Church to grow here and His increased blessing on our community
